How do I track time when I work on multiple things in a day?

A practical standard approach is to use one entry per meaningful activity or project block and avoid overlapping entries.

Vacation & Time Off
How do I request vacation?
Use User -> Vacation.
You can also create a vacation request from the Time Sheet Calendar. This is helpful if you want to choose the dates while looking at your existing entries and visible absence times in the calendar.
Vacation can be entered as a full-day absence or as an hourly absence.
- Create a new vacation entry.
- Enter the dates.
- Save the record.
If the approval workflow is enabled, the request is then reviewed by the configured approver.

Can I cancel or change my vacation request?
Open your request in User -> Vacation or from the Time Sheet Calendar and check whether it is still editable.
You can typically change or cancel your own vacation request directly only if:
- it is your own record
- it is not approved yet, or absence approval is not required for you
- the first day of the vacation is still after your booking completion date
If you cannot change it directly, contact the approver or HR.
If the approval workflow is enabled, rejected absence requests are deleted after rejection.

What do I do if I'm sick?
Follow your company's communication process first, then record the absence in User -> Sick Leave.
You can also create sick leave from the Time Sheet Calendar. Like vacation and compensatory time off, sick leave can be entered as a full-day absence or as an hourly absence.
As a practical standard flow:
- Create a new sick-leave record.
- Enter the relevant date range.
- Add a description if your company uses it.
- Save the record.
If the sick-leave approval workflow is enabled, the record is processed in the same absence workflow as vacation and compensatory time off.
If approval is required for your user, the sick-leave record stays pending until it is reviewed. If approval is not required for your user, new sick-leave records are approved automatically when the workflow is enabled globally.
